Hi everybody!

This thread has several purposes:

- Upcoming events can be posted here, such as Performances, Meet & Greets, and all events that Venitians can go to and meet each other.

- Not only events involving the band itself, but also informal get togethers by fans can be posted here.

Why?

Randy put it nicely: "I see the members (here, on the yahoo list, and elsewhere) as part of a community. And I can see groups in areas wanting to get together."

So if you want to organize a fanmeeting, if you are looking for a date to go to a Venice concert, if you want to organize a dinnerparty with only dishes which have been named in Venice songs (???), go ahead and post it here.

Let's see if we can get along offline as much as we can online. The 'Faces behind the Venetians' was a start, let's take it to the next level.

At the upcoming tour, who wants to meet me at a concert and have a drink? I'm usually by myself at Venice-shows, which I really don't mind, but it might be fun to actually meet people from this forum.

I'll be the one with the nose hair, carrying the chain saw.

In reading the Agoura concert review thread, I am reminded of something. Often we can go to a Venice event and not even know that the person next to you is someone from this forum or the yahoo list. It would be cool to have some way to identify each other.

On other forums/lists I am on, they have done t-shirts for example. But not everyone would want to wear a t-shirt. Or would they? Or maybe one of those blinking buttons that says VENETIANS! on it? Or the Venicecentral and Venicetalk logos?

What do you think? I like the idea because then you could go up to the person and introduce yourself.

Although I'm not too fond of a T-shirt as a sign, cuz they never look good on me and hear me typical woman talking about her but-I-want-to-look-nice-at-the-Venice-concert-tonight-problem.

Anyway

The button is a great idea! Very fashionable also, since the eighties are back in style... ;)

So my vote is on button, but.... does Venice Talk have a logo????

It is nice to meet the people of the lists at the shows or at other occasions!
Sometimes people ask me if it's me (?!) or at least know me from the posts on the lists, although most people only read and not write.......

:cool: My vote is for the button. And I WILL try to make it to the Belly Up on the 19th. I'll just be getting back from Hawaii then, so who knows what my state of mind will be. I'm taking some Venice with me to listen to while I'm there though! :up:

I like the button idea. Then also the guys can see who we are when they see us at a meet and greet. They see a lot of names on the list and forum but they don't know all of us. That would be nice.
