I know that AOR Heaven (http://www.aorheaven.com) is currently selling Venice's new album over the internet. I also see it on sale at Rockhouse Records (http://www.musicmailexpress.com/), Plato On-Line (http://mars.plato.nl/plato/index.cfm) and GEMM (http://www.gemm.com/c/search.pl?sid=301771718&key=48042&disp_ad_format_mode=0&artist=VENICE&artist=VENICE&&title=WELCOME+TO+THE+REST+OF&artist=VENICE&).

Does anyone know of any other sites where Americans can order the CD? Please post them here.

You can always come to a Venice show. They will have them there for sure.

Then the band can make a little money too.

But then I had to wait till October! That's really too much to ask, I would die if I had to wait for another whole month ;)

Michael, you mentioned that by picking up the CD at one of your shows, the band would make a little money.....is there a significant difference in profits for the band if CDs are purchased through you as opposed to in record stores or on-line?

By the way....isn't it about time for a House of Blues show (Sunset or Anaheim)???? ;) Then I can buy LOTS of CDs for family and friends!

Thanks for the info on where to order WTTROYL online. Now can you tell me where is the best place to actually purchase the CD if I were in Amsterdam or Rotterdam?? I have a friend traveling there next week and he will be purchasing several copies of WTTROYL for me and wants to know where to get the best price. Any ideas??

Hi Diane,

yr friend will find the best deals at Mediamarkt, I think.
Locations to be found on www.mediamarkt.nl/locaties/index.php3

pls note Amsterdam is A'dam and Rotterdam is R'dam (2 locations) one of them right in the City Centre, near the Coolsingel.
Usually the newer CD's are between euro 11.99 and 14.99.

Good hunting!

Wilfred,
Thanks for the info. I emailed it to my friend who is en route to Amsterdam right this minute. I am trying to do my part to contribute to the sales of WTTROYL and push Venice to #1 on the Dutch charts. (How many CD's can you get through customs???)

Thx again,
Diane (in Orange County)

Hello Diane,

I'll have to check at work tomorrow.
As long as it belongs to "personal items" I guess you can take a few, but how to explain that 10 or more of the same cd is all for personal usage.
Next to that there will also be restrictions importing them into the U.S. ?

Maybe Mr. Michael can help out. I think he knows how this was done with the cd's that were shipped over to Venice.
This possibly was arranged by Sony Music.

brgds,
Wilfred

Maybe the customs agent will be a Venice fan and then he will understand that all these CD's are for personal use for rabid fans unable to get the CD in the band's home country!! These CD's are Christmas gifts!! If customs holds them up, I will have to actually shop for other stuff!! OH NO! Thanks again for your help, Wilfred.

Guys, you must all be so proud at your new album! I've just heard the review of WTTROYL by a DJ from radiostation KPRI-San Diego and he called it the best vocal album he had heard in years!
We offcourse knew this already, but it's nice to hear, that they think the same about it in your homecountry!

Are there any stores within the US selling Welcome to the Rest of Your Life?

Not to my knowledge. But AOR Heaven fills orders very quickly. Or you could try your luck at gemm.com.

My reason for avoiding purchases from out of the U.S. is the method of payment. International money orders can be quite expensive.

I find that most internet stores, anywhere in the world, accept credit card orders, and take care of the currency conversion themselves. I haven't been ripped off yet.

I agree. I have purchased a number of import CDs and it's painless.

In fact, I often by DVDs from Amazon.CA instead since the Canadian exchange rate (converted automatically on thecredit card) makes it cheaper.
