Still Going West a.k.a. the NYMB

Hi everybody!

I would like to introduce you to "Still Going West".
A great band from the North of the Netherlands (Veendam) also known as: "The Neil Young Mirror Band".

This band has been around for a decade now and it's still great fun seeing and hearing them play!

The band consists of 6 Venice fans from the first hour (a.o. Evert and Petra!) and their repertoire is mainly SoCa, 70's and of course Neil Young (and what a Neil Young!)

So if you have the chance to see them in your neiberhood: Go!
You'll get no regrets! I promise you that.

The NYMB has released one live album!

that was a nice introduction of the band Still Going West.
I would just like to add that I have been a fan for years of these great people and currently have a fanpage of my own dedicated to them.

I have been to as many gigs as possible (for the roadys wife, not much of a problem) in the last years, and last night in Oldenzaal was no exception. (It was great seeing you there!!) But today I'm "wiped-out"..wasn't it packed??? Never seen so many people in such a small space in ages! But what a great time we had. The 2 Venice covers went over very well I thought. It helps when you have 4 or 5 'hard-core fans' in the room..:D And the last set with Neil Young numbers just blew everybody away. (not literally, although the Hurricane thing had them jumping up and down). Great!!
I am only sorry that the band are getting so popular and that it often conflicts with Venice concerts....so many great bands...so little time..
I hope this forum attracts even more great music lovers in the Netherlands to a gig of Still Going West, and thank you for the opportunity to add my 2 euro's worth.

Hardenberg ....the Venice Fanday...and!!!!! Still Going West as an afternoon's entertainment along with Venice and John Vester. This was an amazing day to remember, and something I have dreamed about for a few years. My review is still in the making but will be shortly on my homepage...

I saw the band at the Venice fanmeeting in Hardenberg and loved them! I was so busy talking to people that I didn't notice they were selling CD's, unfortunatly. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see a full concert some day! We took 1 picture. I'll share it with you...
