that's right, kids! our heros showed up to welcome traveling dutchies and play to a packed house with John Vester and Tim Moyer. (it was actually a japanese restaurant... GREAT food!) if you could hear or see it all over the crowd it must have been wonderful! but alas this spoon could not get close enough to really enjoy the show. nonetheless the lennons were all very nice to the spoon and talked of looking forward to doing not only the cruise, but the holiday shows ahead!

saw matt levitz and his way too cute family, but i did not see a single dutchy!?!?

I saw a few Dutchies up in the front, but unfortunately I was way too busy dealing with my son to spend any time with anybody. My apologies to all! Next time the kids will stay at home, and I'll while away the post-show hours talking everybody's ears off.

We got there too late for Tim's performance, but John Vester, backed by Mark and Michael, was quite good. But for a pure review, one need look no further than my three-year-old son Jonathan, who spent quite a bit of time trying very hard to hit Michael's shoe with an orange. And at another point, he was so moved by John's lyrics that it inspired him to sing the alphabet song at the top of his lungs. It provided an interesting counter-melody that I'm sure was appreciated by everyone around us.

Rock on!

That would have been cool, to show up with even more Dutchies! Can't wait to read everyone's review on the cruise thread:)
Too bad Spoon that you didn't talk to any Dutchies, maybe there will be an even bigger Dutch crowd next year...:D

I guess it comes naturally to Dutchies, being used to crowds. Since we're packed in this tiny country with about 15 million Dutchies.....and don't forget the tulips, windmills, wooden shoes, "coffee" shops, that takes up a lot of space as well.;)

(hmmm, not sure if this sounds very attractive to you, hope I haven't scared you off visiting us some time)

You'd better update your database, Marina! There's 16 million + of us now. :D
But you're right about our space. We even plan our countryside and nature bits. Ordening space we call it..

But to stay on topic; I hate crowds too, eventhough I'm Dutch. Venice is about the only exception I make.. a Venice show is the only occasion where I feel part of the crowd and not lost in it...

It looks like everybody, including little Jonathan, had a really great time and I envy all who were there....:o

Hey Sunny,

I've got the same, I hate big crowds brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
But with Venice it's different, more a large family ;)
I'm realy looking forward to December and January, to hear those awasome voices again, life that is, I listen to them almost every day, but that's not the same is it.
But it will do till the next show :D :D :D

What did you say Steven, you were there too??? I didn't see you! :( I was sitting on a stool in the front, wearing a white Venice Beach California shirt. Where were you sitting? Would've been very nice to talk to you, if only I knew you were there too. Okay, you can read and see (review/pics) it all on my site www.rjwaringa.demon.nl/Venice.htm and then the link 'Trip to L.A. and Venice cruise'.
